Loyalty is the word of the week! The Flower Fairies felt that was extremely fitting with St. Patrick’s Day coming up on Saturday, and the pansy flower (a native of Ireland) representing our Irish roots! Traveling to Ireland several years ago was quite the experience…The Irish are warm and welcoming, fun, and what a great place to be! Profiteroles, a delicate cream puff were worth the trip, especially when they were topped with a rich chocolate sauce! Yum! I even tried a sip of Guinness–barf, but I say that about all alcohol since I’m allergic to it. This was also the trip where just getting a whiff of whiskey made me sick for a whole evening. Ugh! We were sitting in a pub and playing darts with the locals one evening, and somehow the conversation about getting hit on in a bar started. When I commented that was a regular occurrence, a nice young gentleman on our trip piped up and said “Well, men like big asses!”…which was followed by dead silence…the silence was broken only because I burst out laughing! And then the young man realized what he said…and apologized…profusely. And apologized again several days later. Never going to forget that one!
Loyalty is an interesting topic this week for me, since I’m working on some write-ups for different venues. It is extremely challenging for me to promote myself. It just doesn’t feel comfortable, but on the other hand, how does one build a business without promotion? According to Webster Dictionary, loyalty is faithful to a person to whom allegiance or affection is due. So instead of questioning and continuously challenging myself on everything, I’ve really had to focus on loyalty to myself. It’s that simple word humble that keeps me in check. So, check out my website, buy my art, come to my workshops, try a yoga class, because you’ll have an amazing experience. Just try it, you’ll like it! Tehehe! Remember that you are valuable–take the time to be loyal to yourself! Go get a massage, or Starbucks, or that new book you’ve been eyeing–you are important!
